Timothy Starkey, RLA, LEED AP, Advisor

Timothy Starkey is a Registered Landscape Architect (Arizona, Nevada) and a LEED Accredited Professional. Timothy’s project experience includes managing projects from programming and conceptual design through construction, with involvement in both national and international projects. His more notable project experience includes urban design concepts for the $100 million revitalization of downtown Houston; design development of Alam Sutera, a master-planned town near Serapong, Indonesia; and The Reserve, an exclusive community in Palm Desert, California, featuring a Jay Moorish-Tom Weiskopf championship golf course. In the public sector, Mr. Starkey’s experience includes planning and design of public parks and trailhead facilities throughout metropolitan Phoenix and the conceptual design for Arizona’s largest rest area and visitor’s center along the historic Route 66 corridor.

Since joining Coe & Van Loo Consultants, Inc. in 2004 as a Project Manager, his responsibilities have included project management and landscape architectural design for planned communities and public parks, and leading sustainability initiatives within these projects. Prior to joining CVL, he worked locally for the firms Greey | Pickett and Carter & Burgess (now Jacobs), and nationally for The SWA Group, as a designer and project manager, often providing construction observation and post design service.

Timothy is a graduate of Purdue University and in addition to his professional activities, Timothy has served as a faculty associate with Arizona State University, specializing in graphic design and drawing. He has taught both the traditional student at the main campus, and facilitated continuing education workshops targeted to the working professional, in conjunction with the Joint Urban Design Program at the ASU Downtown campus.
