Gary Smith is a third generation Arizona native. Being raised on a farm and ranch in the Maricopa-Stanfield area of Arizona, he gained first-hand practical experience in production agriculture, ranching and entrepreneurship. He is an active Agricultural Land Manager.
Gary has been active in the agricultural land management arena for over 22 years in Arizona. His experience ranges from small 40 acre farms to one of the states largest farming and ranch operation of over 70,000 acres. He has worked for family, friends, individual investors, private equity funds, corporate real estate holdings and public and private lending institutions. Gary has managed raw land, field crops, permanent crops production facilities, irrigation districts and all associated requirements including grazing leases and equestrian boarding operations.
He is a licensed Arizona real estate broker, who provides real estate related management services to third parties including all aspects of land management. He also manages agricultural leases and through separate agreement can provide agricultural leasing services.
Management expertise includes raw land, income producing land via an agricultural lease, administration of real property taxes, management of the entitlement process for development and oversight of the water service requirements of the Arizona Department of Water Resources and local irrigation districts. His main consideration is always the Owner's underlying desire of maintaining a property's future value while reducing risk and costs during the holding period.
