John "Boots" Dunlap, Advisor
Boots Dunlap is an experienced court appointed receiver of real property, a seasoned troubled asset manager, and has researched and authored countless confidential collateral assessment reports for both national and regional financial institutions.
Boots comes to Realty Resolution Advisors after having served as a Captain in the U.S. Army. After 9/11 and after receiving his B. A. from the University of Virginia, Boots became an Airborne Ranger in the U.S. Army. He commanded an infantry rifle platoon and led over 150 combat missions in Fallujah, Ramadi, Euphrates River Valley, and the Baghdad area of Iraq. Later in Afghanistan, he served for 474 days in the Hindu Kush region along the Pakistan border, and was the Executive Officer in charge of a 260-man Infantry Company and for two months its acting commander. In addition he was responsible
for over $100 million in real property and equipment assets of his battalion. While both in Iraq and Afghanistan he served as a project manager for the construction of over 20 military and municipal buildings, as well as dozens of civil infrastructure projects to include bridges, roads, hydro-energy plants, and pipelines.
He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal, the Army Achievement Medal, the Combat Infantryman’s Badge, the Ranger Tab, and Airborne Wings.
Prior to the military he was a Development Marketing Analyst for DMB Associates Inc., Phoenix, Arizona. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute, Valley Partnership, and the Turnaround Management Association. He holds an active Arizona Real Estate License and is a certified Maricopa SWPPP and Dust Control Inspector.
